Fazal Merchant currently serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of Wiz, a cloud security company that sold to Alphabet/Google for $32 billion in the first quarter of 2026. Previously, Mr. Merchant served as co-Chief Executive Officer of Tanium, a subscription-based global cybersecurity and IT management company. He joined Tanium in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer and retired in 2020, having helped the company grow from $3 billion in value to almost $10 billion in under four years.

Prior to joining Tanium, Mr. Merchant served as Chief Financial Officer of DreamWorks Animation SKG from 2014 until 2016 and held several senior executive roles at DirecTV from 2012 until 2014. Earlier in his career, he spent several years in investment banking at Barclays Capital and the Royal Bank of Scotland, and he began his career at Ford Motor Company. 

Mr. Merchant served as a director of Ariel Investments from 2021 until June 2026. He previously served as a director of Meritor from 2020 to 2022 and Ryman Hospitality Properties from 2017 to 2025. He has also served as Senior Advisor to Sixth Street Partners from 2023 to 2025. 

Mr. Merchant's term will expire at the 2027 annual meeting of stockholders.
