Bishkeksut OJSC is located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and became a part of the Wimm-Bill-Dann production and trade group in October 2000.
Bishkeksut is the largest enterprise for milk processing and production of dairy products in Kyrgyzstan. The factory began production in 1991. The planned capacity of the factory is 200 tons of raw milk per shift.
In 1992 the enterprise was restructured into Bishkeksut Open Joint-Stock Company.
At the end of October 2000, Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods acquired a controlling shareholding of the Bishkeksut dairy plant.
In 2002 a line for the production of sterilized milk was installed at the plant, capable of producing 8 tons of UHT milk per hour. The introduction of this category of product allowed the company to increase its exports to neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Today Wimm-Bill-Dann Central Asia is already working actively in the Kazakh market. Evidence of this work is the five medals in the category of ‘Best Product on the Kazakh Market in 2002’, won by Wimm-Bill-Dann products in Almaty in May 2002 during the international exhibition Kazakhstan FoodExpo 2002. Bishkeksut is also a laureate of the Sapat state prize for quality.
In 2004 the company installed equipment for the production of juice products and from December 2004 the enterprise began to produce juice and nectars under the J-7 brand.
Equipment for producing the national sour milk drink ‘Tan’ under the brand Happy Milkman was launched in April 2005.
Today Biskeksut’s product range exceeds 50 name brands. The factory’s products are produced under the company’s national brands – Happy Milkman, Little House in the Country, Wonder, Ginger Up and BioMax.
In the future the company aims to expand its product line of cottage cheese, curd cheese desserts and juice containing dairy products.
