Ramensky Plant OJSC (RMK) is located in the town of Ramenskoe in Moscow Region. In the autumn of 1992, Wimm-Bill-Dann leased one of the factory’s production lines for the output of fruit juice. At the end of 1997, RMK became a part of the Wimm-Bill-Dann production and trade group.
The production capacity of the enterprise is 1,300 liters of juice per day.
Today, Ramensky Plant no longer produces dairy products, but juice and nectars under popular trademarks: ‘J-7’, ‘Lovely Garden’, ‘Lovely Garden With Vitamins’ and ‘100% Gold Premium’.
RMK began production on December 15, 1982. The factory supplied Ramensky, Voskresensky and Bronnitsky districts in Moscow region with kefir, curds, sour cream, ryazhenka and other sour milk products. The main area of activity of RMK from 1997 to 2001 was production of milk and fruit juices.
Reconstruction at RMK began in 2002. The main production facilities were totally re-equipped: production of milk and dairy products was ended and 13 lines for the bottling of juice products were installed and equipment put in for the making and boiling of syrups. The new equipment made it possible to fill and package products in different sizes (0.2l, 1l, 1.5l and 2.0l) and formats (Slim Cap, Prizma and Brick).
Unique equipment was installed at the factory that allows the wrapping of product pallets with thermal-insulating film as well as applying bar codes directly on groups of packs. With the help of Multipack equipment the factory can produce specially wrapped packs of products for chain-store clients.
A motivational program has been developed and introduced at the enterprise. Specialists fromTetra Pak as well as trainers from the factory conduct training of technical personnel in classes with special equipment. RMK also has a program for awarding employees as ‘Employee of the Month’ and ‘Employee of the Year’.
Ramensky Factory has received awards on several occasions from the governor of Moscow region and the head of Ramensky district for its contribution to the social and economic development of the district and the region.
