Kiev City Dairy Plant No. 3 (KCDP) is located in Ukraine, and became a part of the Wimm-Bill-Dann production and trade group in July 2000.

Kiev City Dairy Plant No. 3 OJSC is one of the largest milk processing enterprises in Ukraine. The plant was originally opened on December 23, 1973. The plant was designed with a capacity to process 275 tons of raw materials per shift or 285,000 tons per year.

KCDP No. 3 produces more than 50 name-branded dairy products, including pasteurized, sterilized, enriched and aromatized milk, kefir, ryazhenka, sour cream, drinking yogurt, curd products and juice containing dairy products.

The enterprise makes dairy products under such trademarks as Slovyanochka, Happy Milkman, Little House in the Country, NEO, Wonder, Ginger Up and Frugurt, which are well-known and popular among Ukrainian consumers.

In order to ensure the consistent high quality of the enterprise’s products, particular attention is paid to the qualification of personnel, the enhancement of product recipes and the introduction of new equipment.

Therefore, in 2002, three new Tetra Brik Aseptic lines, manufactured by Swedish firm Tetra Pak, for the bottling of sterilized milk and aseptic juice products were launched.

In August 2003 a new TFA-3 line was launched for the production of super pasteurized milk in TetraFino Aseptic packaging supplied by TetraPak. This launch allowed the enterprise to begin the production of super pasteurized milk under the Happy Milkman brand.

The enterprise launched new equipment in January 2004 for the bottling of milk products in PAND plastic milk bottles produced by Italian company ACMA with a capacity of 15,000 bottles an hour. This equipment allows the company the possibility of bottling in 450g and 900g containers. The equipment allowed the introduction of new packaging for the Little House in the Country and Happy Milkman as well as the launch of drinking bio-yogurt under the Wonder trademark. In June 2005 the line was refurbished with additional equipment that permits production with thermo-resistant Sleeve labels.

In December 2004 a new dietetic area with an area of 720 square meters was opened and equipment produced by MLEKOMAT (Poland) was installed. This equipment allowed the enterprise to increase production and begin production of a new product under the NEO brand: from March 2005 the juice containing milk product Mazhitel and from June the enriched bifidus bacterium and 12 vitamin enriched kefir NeoVit.

Products from KCDP No. 3 are sold both in Kiev and Kiev Region and in other regions of Ukraine. Regional sales account for more than 35% of total sales. A focused approach to the development of the product range allows the launch of products for every type of consumer, from children to the elderly.
