Gulkevichsky Maslozavod ZAO, which mainly focuses on fermented milk products, became part of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods OJSC in April 2002. The Company acquired 52.21% share in the factory built in 1928. It is currently capable of producing 80 tons of products per day. The specialists of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods group have begun evaluating the technical state of the factory and developing plans for its future growth. Amount of investments necessary to increase volumes of supplied and processed milk, with a view towards increasing the factory’s production capacity up to at least 200 tons per day, is being determined.
The Company’s short-term plans for this factory include production of chocolate-glazed cheesecakes (5 tons/day), increase in the production of fermented milk products (up to 20 tons/day) and supply of raw milk to the Timashevsk Dairy (Krasnodar Region) (150 tons/day).
Moloko Veidelevki OOO became part of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods in April 2002. The Company acquired 81% share in the factory operating since 1972. The factory is capable of processing 150 tons of products per day, and it currently produces 70-75 tons per day. Moloko Veidelevki OOO produces dry whole milk, dry fat-free milk, Krestianskoe butter and Sladkoslivochnoe butter. The factory’s main markets are Belgorod Region and the Chernozem Area of Russia. Its products are also delivered to Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Pyatigorsk, Sochi, Volgograd and Vilnius.
Novokuibyshevskmoloko OJSC was put into operation in 1975. The factory specializes in dry fat-free milk, dairy products and fermented milk products. Novokuibyshevskmoloko OJSC is currently capable of processing 60 tons of products per day. The capacity is expected to grow to 170-200 tons/day by 2005.
The controlling stock of the factory’s share is controlled by the structures supporting the investment processes of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods OJSC. Procedures necessary to include the factory in the structure of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods OJSC are currently being implemented.
The factories’ capacities will be included in the production program of the Dairy Business Unit. The Company’s experience in reviving food enterprises, along with the investment potential of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods, will allow the factories to achieve completely new, modern production levels through the use of state-of-the-art technologies and best raw materials, attracting the leading industry specialists and improving control over the final product quality.
